New to this....

So...some of my classes inspired me to BLOG! I'm not sure what to post yet so here goes with a brief history lesson. I was born on June 20, 1991 in Shelby, North Carolina. Shelby is a small town with a spread of various demographics. I had a spoiled "toddlerhood" considering I was the only child and my parents couldn't be more satisfied with every and anything I did. After my first year of school they realized they wanted to raise me in good ole' Touristville, USA...Sevier County, Tennessee. If you haven't ever heard of Dollywood or Ober Gatlingburg you should be ashamed and feel like an outcast. Just kidding, but really...EVERYONE is facinated with Dollywood. And NO, Dolly Parton does not live there nor are we all related to her. Anyways, I started 1st grade at small elementary school and stayed there until 8th grade. During this time period A LOT of things happened. In 3rd grade my parents sat me down and explained to me that my mother had been diagnosed with breast cancer. However, being so young I didn't realize how bad that news could possibly turn out. The thing I was excited about was getting to shave my mom's head. After many trips to the doctors and chemotherapy, radiation, and everything else imaginable (even some state of the art stem cell research experiments) we found out the cancer had been kicked out the door! Naturally, we were all ecstatic.
